Hilton Singapore Orchard
It’s the hotel’s first Christmas since opening in February 2022! Their two main restaurants, Estate and Osteria Mozza, are full of good cheer. Osteria Mozza will be serving up family-style sets on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day ($149/pax) featuring smoked salmon tartare, chicken porchetta with crispy skin, Iberico ham and peppermint stick gelato profiteroles. Executive Chef Peter Birks will also be offering daily festive specials all December long.
Meanwhile, Estate has established itself as the gourmand’s choice buffet, with exceptional seafood and gourmet creations such as the Signature Black Truffle Roasted Duck. For this season, the duck gets a twist with ginger spice and truffle, served with pitted wild cherries, peanut tofu and local pickled turnip. Till 23 Dec, lunch $78- $88, dinner $98-$108. Meanwhile, Regent Singapore celebrates its final Christmas before it undergoes rebranding as Conrad Singapore Orchard in 2023. There are options galore, from Italian to one-star Chinese cuisine, but we are most excited about the Manhattan Bar’s New Year Eve celebrations.
If you prefer a chinois Christmas, then 1-Michelin Star Summer Palace brings you seasonal ingredients and special creations such as the Wok-fried Venison with Chestnuts and Housemade XO Sauce. The 6-course Christmas Degustation Menu ($188/pax, min. 2 pax) is served for lunch and dinner on 24 and 25 Dec.
Inspired by the glitz and fame of Studio 54, Manhattan Bar parties like it's the 1970s in New York, with live DJ, pouring champagne trolleys and butler-passed canapés. There is a choice of early New Year’s Eve four-course dinner (6-8.30pm, $148/pax) with sharing seafood platter and choice welcome cocktail on arrival. Or stay up late for the Countdown ($288/pax) which includes free-flow canapes, two cocktails and a glass of champagne from 9.30pm to 2am.
Basilico’s signature buffet brunch ($148/adult, $74/child) is stuffed with Italian-style Whole Roasted Turkey marinated in Campari and Amalfi Lemon, and desserts that include Pandoro and Hazelnut Tiramisu and Nutcracker Tart. Not to be missed is the iconic Cheese Room, with holiday creations of house made Gorgonzola in Saffron and Beer, and White Chocolate and Truffle. Till 8 Jan, 12-3pm, excluding Christmas Day. The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore
For a blend of European charm and Asian revelry, no one does it like Kempinski. Did you know they also have a signature cocktail dedicated to Joseph Balestier, who lived on the same site where Capitol Kempinski Hotel stands today? He even made rum in Singapore in the 1830s.
15 Stamford by Alvin Leung has conjured up vibrant, bold flavours such as Japanese Crab ‘Sawagani’ immersed in Thai curry and assam lychee; Wagyu Beef Cheek paired with black garlic jus; Canadian Lobster complemented with chilli mango, black beans and Sichuan pepper oil; Smoked Turkey Breast with beef fat saffron, basil caviar, chestnut and bonito consommé. These are variously found in the three- ($68) and four-course ($78) set menus for lunch and four- ($158) to five-course ($168) sharing set menus for dinner.
At The Boutique, you can make your home celebrations more special with classic choices such as Spiced Rubbed Whole Turkey (from $188), but it is the Plantation 1840 rum cocktail that takes centrestage as the glaze for the Baked Honey Ham ($158).
